How the Modular Home Process Works
Design Meeting
When you have decided on a plan that you would like priced, we will meet with you to review the plan and determine what changes, if any, you would like to make, including specification changes and optional extras. In as little as one week, we will arrange another meeting to review the preliminary pricing. There is no cost to you for this process.
Professional Services Agreement
Providing the preliminary pricing is within your budget range, and you wish to proceed to the next phase, we will complete a "Professional Services Agreement" with you. This agreement requires a $1,000.00 payment, which is applied to your final purchase price if you proceed.
We will then proceed with preparing your custom working drawings, including all the plan and specification changes you would like included. Once the plans are completed, we then proceed with obtaining quotes from suppliers and sub-trades for required site work and other materials/equipment not part of the factory's "scope of work".
Construction Agreement
After pricing is completed for the home and site work, an appointment is arranged to review the pricing and the working drawings. Upon acceptance of the firm price, a Construction Agreement is prepared for both parties to sign. The agreement includes firm price, detailed specifications, and payment schedule.
The process from design meeting to home occupancy takes an average of four months.
